This industry profile provides a five-year forecast for Canada's Transportation and Warehousing Industry.

Economic Weakness—The world economy has slowed, and that has weakened global demand for goods and services. Canada has not escaped the effects of the slowdown.
Air Traffic—Growth in air traffic slowed in the second quarter of 2012, a trend that is expected to persist in the near term.
Logistics Investment—Investment in distribution centres in Canada has increased, going from $674 million in 2005 to $1.39 billion in 2011. That should lead to productivity gains.
