The monthly Index of Consumer Confidence is constructed from responses to four attitudinal questions posed to a random sample of Canadian households.

Document Highlights

The Index of Consumer Confidence inched up 2.9 points this month to 76.9 (2002=100) but remains at a relatively low level, reflecting the global economic uncertainty stemming from the European sovereign debt crisis.
