The monthly Index of Consumer Confidence is constructed from responses to four attitudinal questions posed to a random sample of Canadian households.

Document Highlights

The Index of Consumer Confidence dropped for a third straight month in July, this time falling 1.8 points to 81.3 (2002 = 100). Consumers continue to express uncertainty about future job prospects, despite strong job creation numbers so far this year.
