Improvements to e-Data

  • A new tabbed interface for searching for series. The options for Find a Series, Select a Table and Select a Time series ID are now on separate tabs. This allows multiple tables to be selected.
  • A frequency or arithmetic transformation can be applied to all series in a cart.

  • We’ve built a notification component that will send you an email whenever data in a cart that you created has been updated. Once you save a cart, this feature will appear.
  • The order of series added in the Enter Data Series Identifier(s) fields will be maintained in the cart.

  • The CANSIM series descriptions have been improved.
  • The frequency and arithmetic transformations are not available by default when you add data to a cart; they are available under advanced options. This will improve the performance of the cart.
  • The first and last observation has been added to the start and end date for quarterly and monthly series in the cart view.
  • NAICS codes have been added to the series descriptions in Table 23 of the Canadian database.
