2006 Recipient—Jacques Lamarre

Montreal, November 7, 2006 – Jacques Lamarre, President and Chief Executive Officer, SNC-Lavalin Group Inc, will receive The Conference Board of Canada’s highest honour tomorrow evening during the 2006 Honorary Associate Award Dinner at the Hilton Montréal Bonaventure.

“Jacques Lamarre is an outstanding Canadian,” said Anne Golden, President and CEO of the Conference Board. “He is globally-focused, has unimpeachable integrity and commands the respect and affection of his fellow citizens, his colleagues and friends.”

Mr. Lamarre has been President and CEO of SNC-Lavalin, Canada’s largest engineering and construction firm, since 1996. In that time, the company has more than tripled its revenues. It is currently operating in over 100 countries, providing engineering and construction services, and is a leader in the ownership of infrastructure, and in operations and maintenance services.

The Honorary Associate is conferred annually upon an individual who has served both his organization and his country with distinction.
