Conference Overview

The 2nd Canada/U.S. Senior Leaders Forum will be held from May 3–5, 2012 at The Equinox Resort in Manchester Village, Vermont. This invitational event is one of the most exclusive—and exhilarating—gathering of top CEOs from the United States and Canada. Our historic inaugural event in the spring of 2011 marked the first time that the Conference Board Inc. and the Conference Board of Canada co-hosted such a high-level gathering.

The goal of the Canada/US Senior Leaders Forum is to create an opportunity for leaders on both sides of the border to focus solely and intently on strategic issues and new perspectives. It is by invitation only and limited to 30 Presidents and CEOs of major companies, Ambassadors, and senior government, business, and civil society representatives.

The format is as unique as the times we live in. Each participant will make an 8-minute presentation, sharing their views on a topic critical to them, their organization or the nation. Then the topic is opened to the floor for questions and broader discussion.

It is these candid, off the record discussions that set this forum apart from all other senior leader events. Participants leave better-informed and exhilarated, having fostered ideas and viewpoints at a depth not experienced at traditional business gatherings. 

For well over half a century, both organizations have organized similar top-level events and conferences for CEOs in their respective countries. But given the increasing interdependence of Canada and the U.S. across all sectors, both private and public, the time has come to address larger issues of mutual concern—and solution.
