Brian will discuss the importance of emergency management structure, logistics, and communications strategy in emergency preparedness, and provide examples around the role these tools played during the state of emergency.
Brian Wilson has been in fire services since the late 1992, and is currently the Director of Protective Services/Fire Chief /CEMC for the City of Clarence-Rockland in the National Capital Region. Brian has been actively involved in emergency management for the past 7 years, and has led municipal responses to several local emergencies including flooding, train derailment, and high wind events. Chief Wilson holds numerous fire and emergency management qualifications, including certificates in Fire Service Leadership & Administration from Dalhousie University, Incident Command System Certifications 100 through 400, and he is currently completing a Masters Degree in Disaster & Emergency Management through Royal Roads University.
