Shauna Moore is the First Generation Student Coordinator at Durham College. Her role involves reaching out to students who have multiple barriers that prevent them from considering and applying to post-secondary programs, assisting them in transitioning successfully to college and providing supports to ensure their success for the duration of their program. She was a Learning Facilitator for 10 years in the CICE program, starting in fall 2007, when the program was launched at Durham College. She has taught a variety of courses on a part-time basis for the past 9 years.
Nathan Wilson has been a full-time faculty member since 2014. He is the Communications Program Coordinator and currently teaches a range of courses including General Education electives, remedial grammar and language subjects, and academic success skills-building classes. In Human Relations, a General Education elective that he has taught every semester since he started, Nathan has had the opportunity to work with many CICE Learning Facilitators and students. He has therefore accrued a great deal of experience working with LFs in their role of adjusting curriculum and coursework to meet the needs of students with varied disabilities.
