Since joining The Conference Board of Canada in 2006, Todd has worked in a number of areas and has moved into increasingly senior roles within the organization. He is currently a member of the Conference Board's Industrial Economic Trends research group where he conducts industry-specific research on a wide variety of issues including: labour market supply and demand, profitability, public policy, and a variety of economic impact and footprint studies. He is also a regular spokesperson for the Conference Board, providing input to both national and international media on a wide variety of topics related to his on-going research and the Canadian economy in general. He is also the author of the Conference Board's monthly, Index of Consumer Confidence and is a regular contributor to the annual review of the Federal Budget.

In the past, Todd has also been responsible for forecasting all matters related to Canada's energy sector, including contributions to the quarterly Canadian Outlook and Alberta's provincial Outlook. He was also previously responsibile for the semi-annual forecast of Canada's oil and gas extraction industry, and remains a regular participant at conferences to Canadian and North American energy policy.

Todd has a B.A. in Economics from the University of New Brunswick and an M.A. in Economics from the University of North Carolina.
