In this live webinar, Daniel Fontaine and Lara Croll will address the national health human resource crisis, touching on how restrictive immigration policies, low awareness of job opportunities, and increased housing values are also adding to the worker shortage in the publicly funded seniors care sector. They will also discuss:
- Key elements required for developing a robust health human resource strategy for the continuing care sector;
- The urgent need for all stakeholders, including government, employers, labour, and post-secondary institutions to work collaboratively towards a solution; and
- How Canada can meet the projected growth over the next decade, when the seniors care sector is expected to be the fastest growing sector in our economy.
