Introducing Medical Cannabis Coverage into Workplace Programs

Thursday, February 15, 2018—12:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Lunch will be provided to delegates attending the workshop at 12:15 p.m., workshop to follow.

This workshop will provide delegates with a practical and easy to implement framework for introducing medical cannabis coverage into your benefit program in a way that is progressive, provides an effective alternative health solution to the opioids often prescribed, and is sustainable within your employer’s benefit plan.

The workshop will include:

  • clear and easy to understand guidelines for introducing medical cannabis to employer benefit plans
  • a policy framework to ensure employers have the right policies and protections in place
  • an executive brief which outlines the business case for medical cannabis coverage
  • an evidence-based approach differentiating the science from new areas for research
  • an employer toolkit to introduce coverage effectively with a focus on education and improved outcomes
  • a communications toolkit to support implementation of coverage
  • access to preferred providers with expertise for employees who are utilizing medical cannabis

If you are considering introducing medical cannabis coverage, curious about ways to support and manage medical cannabis consumption in your organization, or want to learn about cutting-edge approaches to an often-misunderstood topic, this workshop is for you.

Space is limited.
