Base outlook for emerging markets remains solid for next year despite accumulating geo-economic and political risks.

Document Highlights

The outlook for emerging markets is slightly better for next year, but the better outlook for India is offset by China returning to its “long soft fall” growth path. Recovery will continue in Latin America with falling inflation and improving labor markets in Brazil and possible pro-business reforms from new governments in Chile and Argentina. But high inflation and uncertainties around NAFTA outcomes raise concern for Mexico’s outlook.
