B.C. scores top grades and ranks higher than almost all the peer countries in the second report card to look at the economic performance of the provinces in an international context.
The top-ranked provinces are New Brunswick and Quebec on the first society report card to look at performance at the provincial level. Overall, Canada gets a “B” and ranks 10th among 16 peer countries.
Top-ranked province Ontario scores a “B” and ranks 11th among 26 regions on environment report. Five provinces get “D-” grades. Overall, Canada gets a “D” and ranks third-to-last among international peers.
Ontario is a global top performer on innovation, and scores a strong “B.” Overall, Canada gets a “C” and ranks 9th among international peers. The innovation report shows a mixed bag of results for all the provinces.
